Rod Blagojevich Corruption Trial : Former Staff Member Bob Arya Talks Live About the Case.flv

Remember where Obama came from. Chicago – In dramatic testimony at Blagojevich’s corruption trial on Tuesday, his one-time chief of staff Alonzo Monk said the two of them, along with fundraisers Tony Rezko and Christopher Kelly, discussed various ways they could make money through state action. Monk, who was Blagojevich’s law school roommate and was by his side through most of his political career, said the group calculated that each of several schemes would raise $100000 each and that the money would be divided up equally among the four. But Monk said he and Blagojevich would get the money only after the governor left office. Bob Arya, who worked with Blagojevich during his second term in office, joined us live to talk about the case.

Fifth ‘american Idol’ Runner- Up Talks About Her Image, Dating and Starting a Family

Former American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee recently graced the cover of Stuff magazine. McPhee also had a conversation with the magazine wherein she talked about several topics, including her provocative pose on the cover of her self-titled debut album.

“People made a big deal out of [my album cover being racy],” she said. “They said, ‘She’s a slut, blah blah blah.’ But I’m really not showing that much skin. It’s all suggested.”

In addition, she said that whatever people saw on the American Idol series is just one part of her complex personality.

“There are different sides of me. On American Idol, people saw the side that is very professional and put together,” the 22 year old singer explained to Stuff Magazine. “But there’s this other side of me that’s outgoing, energetic and wild—and did really stupid things in college.”

What stupid things exactly? Standing over an air grate in Boston while wearing a small skirt and taking her friends to Coyote Ugly where “the girls were taking their bras off” were just a couple of them.

McPhee also told stories about her teens and claimed that she studied in an all-girls school, thus she became very eager to have a boyfriend. She is currently dating 41 year old Broadway performer Nick Cokas.

She was then asked if she really preferred dating much older men. McPhee replied, “When I turned 21, I thought it was a good age to explore. You’re no longer a teenager, so it’s OK [to date older guys]. I gravitated toward them, and I love them. They’re just wiser, and they’re less about themselves and more about you.”

McPhee and Cokas met when they were ast in the musical, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, last year. In May, it was reported by The National Enquirer that the couple was spotted checking out wedding cakes, with McPhee telling a customer that they were getting married. McPhee’s representative later denied these reports, but she told Stuff Magazine that she will settle down eventually.

“I want to have, like, 15 babies. I’ve always wanted to be pregnant,” McPhee said. “One year for Halloween, I decided to be pregnant, so I got this nun costume, and I put a big belly under it. I showed my parents and said I want to go to school as a pregnant nun. My dad sat me down and said, ‘Katharine, you can’t!'”

Conference Call: Ryan Seacrest Talks Super Bowl and ‘american Idol’

American Idol’s famous host has recently received news that his presence will be needed at the Super Bowl XLII. In a FOX conference call, Ryan Seacrest confirmed that he is indeed going to host his biggest event so far. He shared some details about his latest gig and also managed to comment on American Idol happenings as well.

According to Seacrest, his project for FOX is a new and experimental concept. The FOX Super Bowl pre-game is a live red carpet, where he will interview celebrities as they come to watch the game. It will be covered like a major event. Everything will be in adlibs as there will be no scripts, something Seacrest is very much comfortable about. He says he enjoys doing and saying things spontaneously. When he was approached for this project, he immediately got curious with the new format and he soon accepted the proposal to host.

A football fan himself, Seacrest promised that only the pre-game will be covered and the game will not, in any manner, be disturbed or upstaged. He emphasized that there will definitely be no celebrities or guests in the commentary box during the game. He also made it clear that he will not be involved in the halftime show.

Asked on his comments about the ratings for American Idol, Seacrest believes that the ratings are still good considering that the show is still the most popular in America . American Idol judge Paula Abdul is also set to perform at the Super Bowl before the games start.

Aside from hosting a number of specials including New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, the Emmy’s and the SAG Awards, Seacrest hosts The Morning Show on 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles . He is also a co-host for the daily E! News on E! Entertainment Television. In 2007, he started a 2-hour radio show called “The Entertainment Edge with Ryan Seacrest” which airs in the U.K.
