How did they mesure the speed of light?
It’s 186,000 miles per second right but how did they find that out?
I guess no one here knows ![]()
Thanks guyz
How do we measure the speed of light?
How do we know its exactly 186,282 m/s? I mean it is not like we can measure that type of speed. In less than a second light would have circled around the world 7 times.
Then I guess my question should be “how is the speed of light defined?”
How do we determine the speed of light?
one more thing if we travel with the speed of light we will se light travelling as usual, and our time will change, what about the distance liggt traveks frm my frame of reference.
What energy forces propel light to their speed?
If I understand light correctly, it’s matter. It’s a bunch of photons. These move at the speed of, well, itself – light, which is very fast. But there must be an energy source to propel that matter to that speed. What is it?
What is the angular speed of rotation?
In an amusement park rocket ride, cars are suspended from L = 4.14-m cables attached to rotating arms at a distance of d = 6.05 m from the axis of rotation. The cables swing out at an angle of θ = 54.6° when the ride is operating. What is the angular speed of rotation?
Please help. I’m stuck.
What is its cruising speed upstream against a current of 3 mph…..?
A boat can cruise at 25 mph in still water.
(a) What is its cruising speed upstream against a current of 3 mph?
(b) What is its cruising speed downstream with a current of 3 mph?
At the end of an amusement park ride, a boat lands in a pool, splashing out a lot of water. Three inlet pipes, each working alone, can fill the pool in 5 seconds, 15 seconds, and 20 seconds, respectively. How long would it take to fill the pool if all three inlet pipes are used
What is the speed of the seats on this ride?
An amusement park ride consists of a rotating
circular platform 11.4 m in diameter from
which 10 kg seats are suspended at the end
of 1.54 m mass-less chains. When the system
rotates, the chains make an angle of 32.3 with
the vertical.
The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2 .
What is the speed of each seat?
Answer in m/s.
What would you see when you are traveling at the speed of light when you look forward and look backwards?
We see images when the light bounce of the surface of other objects and into our eyes. Assume that we could travel at the speed of light or faster than the speed of light, would we be thus looking into the past as we catch up and see the light particles that were reflected from earlier events?
If we look backwards, would we be seeing a “Black” as no other light particles could reach our eyes? (other than those bounce of from ourselves since they travel at the same speed as us)..

Obey Benga Speed Art
A Speed Art of the Background I made Obey Benga. This is the second one I made. I didn’t record when I made the first one so it is a little different. Personally I like the first one better but if he uses it you will get to use the first one! I’m sorry the video is so long it took forever. – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – Song: Moon Bounce by Hoodie Allen – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – Check out my Portfolio! kicksdzn.deviantart.com – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - Check out Obey Benga! www.youtube.com
