Has anyone done a cookbook as a fundraiser lately?
We are thinking of doing a fundraiser cookbook at our school. However there are tons of companies out there. Just wondering if anyone has done one lately, and, if so, what they thought of the company?

What fundraisers can be done by Anime Club?
Our Anime Club plans to attend Anime Boston, which is in April. The problems: we need $500 to go and we need to raise it in a short amount of time. So our officers were brainstorming and I thought it would be a good idea to ask someone on here.
So, what fundraisers can our club do that is cost effective, can be put together quick, and appropriate for our club to hold? Help and/or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks, AnimeClubSecretary.
My teenage kid sent me a text message telling me I should take off my shoes. Okay, I’ve done that — so what’s next?

Parents: What do you think should be done in this situation?
Who do you think should have the right? A home owner, who wants safety and peace of mind? Or the homeless who just want a place to sleep?
We live in a gated community, but we are in the first row of houses which means behind our back wall is a busy street (yeah kind of defeats the purpose). LOTS of people walk by/ride by, we live near a beach and it’s one of the routes there. Plus some homeless use the grassy shady area behind this wall to sleep.
About two months ago my 10 year old hopped our back wall early in the morning to get some dough nuts from a nearby shop (much faster than going all the way around.) I guess he almost landed on a sleeping homeless man. Long story short, he ends up bringing back this some dough nuts. My son comes in asking me “Mom do we have like an old cover.” He wanted to give it to the man. So yeah naturally I tell my son to ask me before he hops that wall again so I can watch from the balcony. I also ask my husband to go talk to the guy.
Anyways, last week coming home late, I saw SEVERAL (maybe 4) homeless sleeping behind my neighbors and my house’s. My kids LOVE the backyard. My son has a court back there. We have a moon bounce that they sometimes have camp outs in. We have a pool/Jacuzzi that they like to use. I just don’t want to have to worry about their safety. Not being judgmental but a lot of homeless people I’ve encountered don’t seem too stable mentally. I’ve also read an article stating lots of sex offenders are becoming homeless.
I don’t want some perv behind my house to see a moon bounce shaking late at night and realize there are kids in it.
But at the same time I feel for the homeless and it is a nice area for them to sleep. Who do you think should have the right? The home owner, who wants safety and peace of mind? Or the homeless who just want a place to sleep. The property behind my house is owned by the city so I don’t think I legally have any grounds anyways.
Answeredude: Great idea!
@Sterling: That Idea is so insane it MIGHT ACTUALLY WORK! TJ go get mommys gat!.
@N my opinion. Yeah a few months ago my husband did talk to him about the cover/dough nut incident. I guess he seemed harmless, my husband did politely suggest other places, and the guy did leave for a while. He basically comes and goes. But now there are others that I’m not too sure about.
How will I know when my voice is done maturing?
I am a 14 year old GIRL, and my voice is still very childish, and I was wondering what my voice will sound like once its done maturing. I would like to start putting videos on youtube of my singing voice, but I just think it sounds too childish. Is it something that will go on for a few weeks, or will I wake up in the morning with a beautiful mature sound? I really want to be a famous singer one day. Thanks!
