How do I clean mildew from the fabric of a bounce house?
We placed a bounce house (uncovered) in our shed sometime in November. I just pulled it out and apparently there was a leak in the shed (on top of the insane humidity) and the bounce house now has mold / mildew all over the fabric. Its very bright and the primary colors (red yellow and blue) How do I clean it really good and get all the spots off as well as stop it from growing back?

Spray it down with vinegar and leave it in the sun. It won’t disturb the colors like bleach will. Vinegar will kill the mold and disenfect the sun will speed the process.

Use an enzyme.
something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Touch-Quart-Enzyme-Eliminator/dp/B0002XJ2VS
Enzymes will naturally break down the mildew and convert it into oxygen and water. It will replace the bad bacteria with good clean bacteria.
It will be safe for you kids to be around if you don’t get it rinsed off.
Vinegar will make it smell nd it does not have disinfecting qualities.

I had this same problem & I found some answers on here & I tried a few things but most didn’t work. So I gave in because I want my kids & others to be able to play with it for my son’s birthday. Anyway, I used clorox clean up & it practically worked itself but I had to scrub a little here & there. I clean a bit at a time not all at once & I rinsed it off as quickly as I could because I dont want it to get damaged. The clorox clean up did not stain or leave spots on the bounce house. It worked great. I did this all today. Practically made the bounce house look good as new. It left a few not so visable spots still but another tried maybe in a couple of days with better srcubing should work. Got tired after a while. Bounce houses are big. Hope this helps because.
